What are the settings of a Trigger

This tutorial explains the different settings when setting up a Trigger.

Trigger settings

Name

Fill in a name for your Trigger.

Enabled

The toggle is switched when you create a Trigger. If you want to disable the Trigger, you switch the toggle.

Select exchange

Select the exchange you want to use.

Select market

Select the market you want to use for your indicator(s). The market can be your quote currency or a specific trading pair.

Select candle size

Select the candle size you want to use for your indicator(s).

Select indicator(s)

Select the indicator(s) you want to use. There’re 13 options. You can select multiple indicators that need to be triggered at the same time before executing.

Trigger actions

Select the actions you want to be triggered. Important: click the + to see the fields you need to fill in. There’re 12 options:

Load template

Switch between different templates based on different market situations. Fill in “Load a template” and “Overwrite/reset Triggers”. Under “Load template", you select the template you want to use. In the second option, you can choose whether you want to overwrite/reset Triggers or not.

Set buying status

Enable or disable buying.

Set selling status

Enable or disable selling.

Hold positions

Select the currencies you want to hold. These won’t be sold when your Trigger gets triggered.

Unhold positions

Select the currencies you want to stop holding. These will be sold when your Trigger gets triggered.

Set take profit

Select the currencies and fill in a percentage. The selected currencies' Take profit will update with the take profit setting you configure when your Trigger gets triggered.

Buy

Select the currencies you want to buy when your Trigger gets triggered.

Sell

Select the currencies you want to sell when your Trigger gets triggered.

Open short

Select the currencies you want to short when your Trigger gets triggered. Important: shorting means, it will sell the selected currencies when they’re in open positions (open a short). Then reserve these funds in the quote currency. Lastly, buy back the currencies when your shorting requirements are met (close a short).

Close short

Select the currencies you want to close a short when your Trigger gets triggered. Important: shorting means, it will sell the selected currencies when they’re in open positions (open a short). Then reserve these funds in the quote currency. Lastly, buy back the currencies when your shorting requirements are met (close a short).

Sell everything/Panic mode

When you use this, your bot will sell all your open positions and disable buying. The default is a limit order. You can select market orders.

Send email

You receive an email when your Trigger gets triggered.

Cooldown period

Fill in the cooldown period you want to use. This is the time the Trigger will be disabled before it can trigger again.
