This article shows examples of Triggers for the Trading Bot.

The examples below serve as inspiration and should not be copied directly. The cryptocurrency market is constantly changing, and we are not financial advisors. Use these examples as a foundation to develop your own trading strategies. We hold no liability for losses resulting from directly using these examples. Always conduct thorough research and make well-informed decisions. There are no "golden settings" that universally apply — ideal values vary depending on market conditions and individual trading approaches.

1. Trade with the trend (EMA)

Trading with the trend is especially important for conservative day traders and scalpers. An EMA-based trigger can allow you to trade only when the trend is in your favor — using the cross between a fast 10 EMA and a slow 20 EMA to enable or disable buying.

Bullish trigger — Enable buying

Name: EMA Trend Bullish Exchange: Binance (or your preferred exchange) Market: BTC/USDT (or your quote currency) Indicator: EMA Candle size: 1 day EMA short period: 10 EMA long period: 20 Trigger when: EMA signals a buy Action: Set buying status ? Enabled Cooldown: 5 minutes

Bearish trigger — Disable buying

Use the same settings as above with these two changes:

Trigger when: EMA signals a sell Action: Set buying status ? Disabled

2. Change templates based on market conditions

Instead of disabling buying in a bear market, automatically load a dedicated bearish template when conditions change. Create two templates — one for bullish conditions, one for bearish — and use two triggers to switch between them. Use the same indicator, exchange, and market for both triggers — mixing them can cause unexpected behaviour.

Bullish trigger — Load bullish template

If "Do not overwrite/reset triggers" is enabled, all settings from the new template apply except Triggers. In this two-trigger setup, that is the recommended choice.

3. Crash protection

Disable buying when BTC drops sharply in a short window. Useful for stable-quote-currency traders. Works well with trend-following indicators; less suited to momentum oscillators like RSI.

Indicator: Percent change Market: BTC/USDT Timeframe: 30 minutes Trigger value: -4% (must be a negative number) Action: Set buying status ? Disabled

4. Pump protection

If your quote currency is volatile (BTC, ETH, BNB, etc.), a strong pump makes it harder to profit. Disable buying when your quote currency rises sharply against USDT. Select your own quote currency paired against USDT — not necessarily BTC.

Indicator: Percent change Market: Your quote currency / USDT (e.g. BTC/USDT) Trigger value: Positive number (e.g. +4%) Action: Set buying status ? Disabled
