What are the different options for 2FA
An explanation of the different 2FA options available on Cryptohopper.
Authentication methods
Google Authenticator After selecting this option, follow the on-screen instructions to link your account to the Google Authenticator app.
YubiKey Uses One Time Password (OTP) as the authentication method.
Security codes
When setting up 2FA, backup security codes are generated alongside your chosen method. Write these down and store them somewhere safe. If you ever lose your device, these codes allow you to regain access to your account without any issues.
If you have not written down your backup codes and lose access, you will need to contact all your exchanges and Cryptohopper individually to request 2FA removal. You can reach Cryptohopper support at [email protected].
We strongly recommend enabling 2FA not just on your Cryptohopper account, but on all your accounts. It is one of the most effective ways to protect your account from unauthorised access.
