How to troubleshoot your Trading bot in the app

This guide shows you how to troubleshoot your Trading Bot using the Cryptohopper iOS or Android app.

Prerequisites

Option 1 — Use the Troubleshooter

  1. Launch the app and log in.
  2. Go to your Trading Bot.
  3. Tap "Troubleshooter".
  4. Check for any red crosses — if present, see what you can do to fix them.

Option 2 — Manual checklist

  1. Check that a subscription is assigned to your bot.
  2. Make sure your bot is enabled.
  3. Verify your API Keys and confirm your bot is correctly connected to your exchange.
  4. Check your funds.
  5. Check for any errors in the Output.

What the Troubleshooter checks

Whether the bot is enabled When your bot is disabled, it is not scanning the market.

Whether buying and selling are enabled If buying and/or selling is disabled, the bot will not act on the opportunities it finds.

Errors in the config Any configuration errors will be shown here.

Whether the bot can retrieve balances and assets If the bot is unable to fetch balances or assets, this will be flagged.

Whether you have enough funds for the minimum buy amount If your funds are below the configured minimum buy amount, the Troubleshooter will notify you. If you are using a Paper Trading bot, you can deposit fake funds.

Whether you have unsynced positions If positions exist on your exchange but are not showing in your Cryptohopper Dashboard, the Troubleshooter will flag this. See how to find your assets and synchronise positions.

Whether a Strategy or Signals are configured Your bot needs either a Strategy or Signals to trade.

Errors in the Output The Troubleshooter flags any errors found in your Output. For an overview of errors and solutions, see the error reference.
