What are the different settings for adding a Copy Bot as a Marketplace Seller
An explanation of every setting when adding a Copy Bot to the Marketplace, along with important notes for Sellers.
Before you start:
- We do not recommend using DCA or merging positions — these can cause matching issues since the Seller's original buy order is not traceable.
- New subscribers with Portfolio Sync enabled may experience different results when DCA is used.
- Inform your users that DCA and position merging can result in mismatched positions. In these cases, the subscriber may hold a position with different values than the Seller's, and there is no way to resolve this as tracking merged positions is impossible.

Additional information
Maximum amount quote currency warning Setting your "Maximum amount allocated" higher than your actual quote currency balance causes unexpected behaviour for subscribers. For example: if you have 1,000 USDT but set the maximum to 10,000 USDT, a buy order using 1,000 USDT (100% of your actual balance) will only appear as a 10% order on your subscribers' accounts. Always ensure your "Maximum amount allocated" does not exceed your actual quote currency balance.
Ghost positions Ghost positions are positions opened in subscribers' Copy Bots that were not opened in your own bot — for example, when your order didn't fill but your subscribers' did. Selling ghost positions is a manual action — automated settings do not apply. Ghost positions become regular open positions when a new order for the same currency is filled in your bot, at which point no new position is opened for subscribers.
Copy Bot restrictions and API Keys Once set, Sellers cannot change their exchange or quote currency. API Keys can be changed for security purposes, but changing to a new account will show as a large spike or drop in asset history — not recommended. The following trading actions are not available to Copy Bot Sellers as they can cause management or statistics issues:
- Merge positions
- Split positions
- Remove positions
Market orders Copy Bots use market orders only. Limit orders are not supported — if a limit order fills on the Seller's side but not on a subscriber's side, the subscriber misses the trade. This can be dangerous when cutting losses, as unfilled orders during a market drop can lead to significant losses for subscribers.
