What are the branding requirements

Having a strong brand image is essential for success on the Marketplace. Your logo and promo images communicate your brand's tone, aesthetic, and values. The following requirements apply to all Marketplace Sellers and Signalers.

1. Logo type

Cryptohopper strongly recommends using a real photo of yourself. A personal photo builds confidence with users — it shows you are a real person with nothing to hide. An abstract logo is also acceptable.

2. Quality

Whether using a photo or an abstract logo, the image must be high quality.

• Photo: use a good camera, ensure good lighting, and appear as professional as possible.
• Abstract logo: make sure it is unique, pixel-sharp, and free of watermarks.

3. Space around the logo

• Photo: ensure there is enough space around you and that you are not cramped. Do not crop part of your head out of the frame.
• Abstract logo: leave sufficient clear space around the logo to preserve its clarity and visual impact.

4. Colors

• Photos: good lighting is key to making colors look vivid and natural. Natural light works best as it minimises shadows. You may enhance colors with a photo editor, but good base lighting is essential.
• Abstract logos: a strong brand color palette typically includes:
  • One light color for the background
  • One darker color for text
  • One neutral shade that complements the others
  • One eye-catching primary color present throughout all branding (e.g. blue for Facebook, red for Netflix, green for Spotify)

5. Size

Image dimensions on Cryptohopper are mandatory:

• Logo images: 600px × 430px
• Promo images: 1200px × 450px

Always design images at the required dimensions from the start. Upscaling a smaller image to fit will stretch and distort it, resulting in a unprofessional appearance.

6. Symbols

Avoid using monetary symbols such as $ or € in abstract logos. These can make your brand appear untrustworthy. Keep your branding clean and professional.
