How to connect to Coinbase with Fast Connect (OAuth2)

To enable seamless interaction between your bot and Coinbase Advanced, Cryptohopper offers two options. You can either utilize Fast Connect, which involves logging in with your Coinbase Advanced account directly on Cryptohopper (the most convenient option), or create an API Key. Both methods establish a secure connection between Cryptohopper and the exchange, empowering your bot to perform essential tasks such as automated order placement and access to balance information for precise calculations.

Fast Connect Coinbase Advanced

Thanks to Coinbase's OAuth2 solution, Cryptohopper can offer Fast Connect. Fast Connect is the most convenient option to connect to your exchange and is similar to the "Login with Facebook" button you see on many websites. If you don't have a Coinbase account yet, you can follow the same steps to get started.

1. Select Coinbase Advanced as your preferred exchange.
2. Click on "Connect to Coinbase Advanced" and Log in with Your Coinbase Advanced account: With a single click on the Fast Connect button, you'll be directed to log in to your Coinbase Advanced account securely or you can create an account on Coinbase.
3. Enter your Coinbase login details in the pop-up provided by Coinbase.
4. Complete 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) and Browser Authorization: For an added layer of protection, you'll be prompted to enter your 2FA code. Additionally, if you're using an unfamiliar browser, you'll need to authorize it on Coinbase.
5. Observe Your Funds Becoming Visible in Cryptohopper: Once you've successfully completed the onboarding process on Cryptohopper, your Coinbase Advanced funds will become visible, and you're all set to start trading.
