What is troubleshooting your Exchange Arbitrage bot

This guide shows you what to look at when troubleshooting your Exchange Arbitrage Bot.

Subscription

Check that you have an active Hero subscription assigned to the correct bot. If you don't have one, you can purchase a subscription here. For more information on how to assign a subscription, click here.

Enable your bot

Check if your bot is enabled on your Dashboard.

First toggle — Bot enabled When disabled, no information is sent to or received from your exchange. Your bot is not working.

Second toggle Not relevant for the Exchange Arbitrage bot.

Third toggle — Exchange Arbitrage enabled When enabled, the bot automatically buys and sells based on your Baseconfig. When disabled, no trades will open.

API Keys

Check your API Keys and confirm your bot is connected to your exchange. Follow the exchange-specific connection tutorial — every exchange has a different setup. If no API errors appear in the Output, your bot is connected correctly.

Funds

Check your funds on the Dashboard. We recommend owning at least 2 quote currencies and multiple other currencies. The Exchange Arbitrage bot works across multiple exchanges and executes trades where profits are highest. You don't need to hold funds on all exchanges at all times, but sometimes one exchange consistently shows cheaper prices while another shows higher — in that case, you may need to move funds manually between exchanges.

Baseconfig

Make sure your Baseconfig is fully configured, including the amounts under Coins and amounts.

Arbitrage troubleshoot

We recommend using a percentage sell amount between 5% and 20%. This ensures enough funds remain to perform another trade for the same pair. Smaller amounts increase the chances the bot keeps trading and help balance funds across exchanges without manual intervention. Note: 100% cannot be used as a sell amount.

Make sure to also set a minimum amount per market (quote currency).

Check the Output on your Dashboard. It shows everything your bot is doing or not doing.

Select a time period to filter results — the maximum is 500 entries. Use a shorter timeframe if you can't find what you're looking for.
