What are the settings in the Market Arbitrage bot
This guide explains every setting in the Market Arbitrage Bot configuration.
Basic settings
Name Give your bot a name.
Max open time buy orders How long a buy order stays open on the exchange before being canceled.
Max open time sell orders How long a sell order stays open on the exchange before being canceled.
Exchanges
Paper trading Switch the Paper Trading toggle to trade with simulated funds. To trade with real funds, fill in the API Keys of one or more exchanges. Using more exchanges allows the bot to search for arbitrage opportunities across all of them.
Notifications
Notification on trade Switch the toggle to receive a notification whenever your bot makes a trade.
Notification on trade error Switch the toggle to receive a notification when a trade error occurs.
Notify on canceled order Switch the toggle to receive a notification when an order is canceled.
Coins and amounts
Percentage sell amount A percentage of your total funds used as the standard order size. Make sure your orders exceed the minimum order size of your exchanges. You can configure different amounts per currency under Percentage Sell Amount.
Ignore different amounts When enabled, arbitrage will continue even if buy and sell amounts don't match due to decimal formatting differences between exchanges. This may slightly affect profit/loss calculations.
Arbitrage amount per market Set the amounts for each market. We recommend using "USD amount" in combination with "Prefill all markets" — all amounts will be automatically converted into the relevant coins.
Selected markets
Configure which currencies your bot trades for Market Arbitrage. Currencies only load after saving, so save first, then select your markets. You need funds in the quote currency of each market, and you must already own the currencies you select — otherwise the bot cannot perform Market Arbitrage. Click Save again after selecting your markets.
Try Paper Trading first to identify which trading pairs offer the most opportunities.
- Very illiquid trading pairs have a high chance of unfilled trades, leaving you with unsold positions.
- Using market orders on low-volume currencies can result in significant losses, as your orders may fill a large portion of the order book.
Market Arbitrage settings
Minimum profit The minimum profit required to execute an arbitrage. Always factor in your trading fees.
Max open time Arbitrage How long a Market Arbitrage trade can stay open. Canceling orders frees up reserved funds for new trades.
Max simultaneous Arbitrages The number of Market Arbitrage trades the bot can open at once. Note: 1 Market Arbitrage = 3 trades.
Order type The order type your bot uses. Market orders fill immediately but may result in lower profits or larger losses during low volume or high volatility. Limit orders are placed at a specific price and take longer to fill. Limit orders are recommended.
Orderbook matching When enabled, the bot checks the order books of all markets and matches orders accordingly.
Fill or kill When enabled, all 3 trades must be fully executable simultaneously. Without this, one or two of the three orders may not fill at the same time, potentially causing losses due to price fluctuations.
Use buy rate Select the buy rate for arbitrage orders.
Use sell rate Select the sell rate for arbitrage orders.
Order sequence Choose from three options:
- All at the same time, cancel if not possible — recommended if you already own the currencies needed. Results in the highest trade completion rate but fewer overall trades.
- All orders at the same time if possible, otherwise chronological — results in more trades than the first option and allows trading with more different coins.
- Chronological order — places orders one after another.
Revert & backlog
The Revert & Backlog keeps failed and canceled orders in a backlog so the bot can retry them. For example, if a buy order succeeds but the sell fails, the sell is moved to the backlog. This helps improve profitability and prevents being left with unsold positions.
Automatic merge backlog When enabled, multiple unfilled sell orders for the same coin are automatically merged into one backlog position.
Move failed to backlog When enabled, failed or canceled Market Arbitrage orders are automatically moved to the backlog. Recommended — it helps identify which orders don't fill and which coins to trade.
Automatic match backlog When enabled, backlog orders are automatically matched when a successful match is found — same amounts, same price, or profitable.
Revert canceled orders When enabled, canceled and failed orders are reverted. For example, if a sell succeeds but a buy is canceled, the buy is placed again at a different price and the profit/loss is recalculated.
Order type The order type used when reverting canceled orders.
Enable take profit When enabled, leftover orders will attempt to close at a profit.
Take profit % The profit percentage at which leftover orders are sold.
Only revert / retry with profit When enabled, orders are only retried if they can be closed at a profit.
Maximum loss % The maximum loss percentage allowed before a leftover order is closed.
Enable Stop-Loss When enabled, leftover orders are sold if they drop below the configured Stop-Loss percentage.
Stop-Loss percentage The percentage drop at which leftover orders are sold.
Use revert pricing Select how the bot buys and sells your revert orders.
