What is a Copy Bot?
A Copy Bot replicates the trades of experienced sellers and opens positions based on a percentage of their portfolio. For example: if a seller has a $10,000 balance and opens a $1,000 trade, and you have $1,000 in your account, your Copy Bot opens a trade worth $100.
Getting started involves three steps:
- Select a Copy Bot.
- Connect your exchange.
- Monitor your trades.
The bot is designed to be simple — there are only a few optional settings, such as specifying how much of your funds to use.
What sets Cryptohopper's Copy Bot apart?
On most competing platforms, the seller's order is placed first, followed by followers. Cryptohopper does it differently: subscribers' buy orders are always executed first, and the seller's order is executed last — in random batches. This prevents the seller from frontrunning their own followers.

Copy Bots have their own subscriptions — you do not need an Explorer, Adventurer, or Hero subscription to use one. If you cancel, the recurring payment stops but you can continue using the Copy Bot until the end of the subscription period. To resume, simply resubscribe from the Marketplace.
Make sure to resubscribe before your current period expires to avoid any interruption.
How to choose the right Copy Bot
Copy Bot sellers use a variety of strategies — some trade manually with fewer positions, others run automated strategies with many open positions at once. Before subscribing, review:
- The number of trades the seller executed in the last 30 days.
- Key performance statistics.
- The seller's detailed strategy description.

Troubleshooting your Copy Bot
If your Copy Bot isn't behaving as expected, check the following:
Active subscription Make sure your Copy Bot subscription is active.

Exchange connection Verify that your Copy Bot is correctly connected to your exchange.
Check the output If issues persist, check the Copy Bot output at the bottom of the Copy Bot Dashboard for specific error messages.
