In these tutorials, you'll learn how to connect your TradingView to Cryptohohopper and how to connect Zapier.
TradingView & Cryptohopper
With the TradingView Chrome extension, you can send signals to your hoppers with TradingView alerts.
You can also send alerts from TradingView to your Hopper with a webhook URL (only for Adventure and Hero hoppers). We will list the explanation for this setup here as well.
In this documentation article, we will explain how to send alerts with the Chrome TradingView extension. TradingView alerts function like signals; therefore, it is possible to disable your strategy and use TradingView alerts only.
Cryptohopper & TradingView Chrome extension
To use the Tradingview Cryptohopper app, make sure to have the following:
- A TradingView account
- A Cryptohopper account
- A Hopper subscription (also needed when you want to use the TradingView Chrome extension for paper trading)
1. Setting up the app.
Click on the TradingView icon in the top-right corner of your browser.
A new page will pop-up; this is your alert extension dashboard. The UI should feel familiar, as it uses the same style CH does! Click on Connect with Cryptohopper and fill in your Username and Password (We will not be able to read out your password, but it is a necessary step.)
Once filled in, you should see a success message. Make sure that you are logged in to TradingView as well. If all is correct, you should see two green dots in the bottom left.
2. Styling your alerts.
If all set-up is done, we can get to using the app!
Select your hopper ID, the coin you want to trade, and what action needs to be taken. Click on 'Generate,' and a small code will be generated. Copy this code.
3. Adding a Tradingview alert.
- Make sure you are logged-in to TradingView.
- Click on the market you want to trade on.
- Click on the Alerts tab.
- Set your parameters and paste your generated code as the 'Alert message.'
- Use additional parameters: market_order:1 or take_profit:5.
That's it. If all is set-up correctly, the Hopper will have an open order! Use this plugin to trade manually and buy/sell completely dependent on the market conditions you set-up.
Cryptohopper & TradingView Webhook
Especially for users with an Adventure or Hero subscription! You can now use the popular platform to send trades to your Hopper in a much easier way! You will be able to trade with any indicator of the TradingView public library and immediately send these trades to your Hopper.
How does it work?
If you're a paid TradingView user:
- Log into your Cryptohopper account.
- Click on the section Apps, you can find it in the left column.
- Select TradingView.
- You will see a unique webhook URL for your Hopper (note that each of your hoppers has a different one). Copy-paste it in the TradingView alert box, by clicking on the option "Webhook URL".
Create an alert (red circle)
Copy-paste the webhook URL
- Afterwards, create an alert in the Alert generator. Here you have to fill which Hopper you are using, which coin you would like to buy, and which action you want to execute with this alert.
- Finally, once that you have copy-pasted the webhook URL and alert message in the TradingView alert box, click on save and wait until your criteria are met to receive that trade in your Hopper.
Debate with the community about the best indicators, create your indicators, and select any market you would like to execute trades on. Your Hopper will execute the trades right after the alert has been triggered.
If you are not a TradingView paid user:
We have created a TradingView Chrome extension so you can execute trades with alerts. Please, follow the next steps to start trading from TradingView into your Hopper:
