Signals

We all know you can configure your Hoppers, but did you know you can configure your Signaler as well? When you go to your config, you'll see a "Signals" tab.

Here you will see the signalers you're currently subscribed to. Under the subscribe button is the "Configure" button. Click the "Configure" button.

Trade according to the Signaler

We have made it possible for our signalers to send out signals with customized settings. It allows them to trade according to the following:

  • Custom Take profit
  • Custom Stop loss percentage
  • Custom Trailing stop loss percentages

If you want to trade according to these settings, don't forget to enable signal configuration in your signaler settings. All adjustments made to your signal config, such as your Take profit, Trailing stop-loss, and sell signals, will only be taken into account for newly opened positions. These sell settings won't be updated in your existing open positions.

Buy Signals

Your Hopper will try four times to buy a currency with its limit orders. This isn't always as desirable. When your Hopper tries for the fourth time, the rate often already got up and may go down again.

Market order and Percentage Higher Bid help you buy the signal for the first time, but for more than the currency is signaled for.

If you lower your "Max open time buy" in your normal config, your Hopper will try it again and quickly create new limit orders.

When the Hopper fails to buy into a signal

Should the Hopper attempt to buy into a given signal but fails multiple times, try placing a market order.

Placing a market order means that the Hopper opens a position at the CURRENT ticker rate, instead of the price of the signal, saying that you will make more buys; keep in mind that this could result in a lower profit.

A detailed explanation of every configurable field:

Pause Signal

When this setting is enabled, the Hopper will not place an order when the signal comes in.

Market Order

This is an important setting! When your Hopper receives a signal, it places limit orders. If the currency rate goes up too fast, your Hopper will have trouble buying the currency. This is where Market Orders can help you.

Be careful though, market orders can be expensive when the market goes up fast in illiquid markets.

Buy amount in .. (BTC)

If you want to overwrite your baseconfig and set a different buy amount for a signaler, you can enter your buy amount here. For example: 0.001 or 100. This overrides your baseconfig.

Take profit at

Enter the percentage of profit you want to make with these signals. Whenever a coin goes over this percentage, it will be sold. This overrides your base config.

Percentage higher bid

An alternative for Market Order, or you can use them together. If you want to bid higher then the signal price, you can enter a percentage here, for example: 0.5. This will help you buy signals of which the price is rising fast.

Percentage lower ask

If you want to ask lower than the signal price of a sell signal, you can enter a percentage here, for example: 0.5. This is mostly for signals when the price is falling fast.

Sell signals

When enabled, the Hopper will follow sell signals of the Signaler and sell positions according to these signals.

Signal configuration

When this is enabled, the configuration which is sent with the signal will be used. For example, if a signaller sends the percentage profit or stop loss with a signal, that will be used instead of your own settings.

Allow All Coins (Hero subscriptions only)

When enabled, this will select all coins for this signaler and disable your strategy. Your Hopper won't scan for buys, but waits until it receives a signal.
